A lab bills two kinds of payer for the same work, and the difference between them is mostly when the money arrives.
Reception
A walk-in is billed at the counter, pays, and goes. That is a simplified tax invoice with the QR on it in Saudi Arabia and a GST bill in India, printed from a screen designed to be driven at speed.
Referring clinics
A referral is credit. The tests pile up against the clinic’s account and go out as a statement, aged by bill so a part payment can be matched against the tests it was meant for. That is not a different system — it is the same invoice, on terms.
Tariffs
Different referrers pay different rates, and the app treats that as a price list rather than as a discount someone remembers to apply. Pick the account, get the rate.
Vocabulary that matches the room
Customers become patients, items become tests. The screens are unchanged; the words on them stop being wrong. That is the whole promise of an industry pack, and deliberately not more than that.

Frequently asked questions
Can a clinic be billed monthly instead of per patient?
Yes. A referring clinic is an ordinary credit account — tests accumulate against it and go out on a statement, while walk-in patients pay at reception.
Are test prices per referrer?
They can be. A tariff is a price list and a price list belongs to the account, so a hospital rate and a walk-in rate coexist without anyone doing mental arithmetic.
Is the Lab app separate from the billing?
The Diagnostic Lab app enables itself on this industry and adds the lab's own screens. Billing stays where billing lives, which is why the day's takings and the month's books never disagree.
