Free VAT accounting software for the UAE

FTA-compliant tax invoices, 5% VAT handling, reverse charge on imports and a VAT return summary that matches the FTA form — free for the first year.

Updated 21 August 2026

The UAE’s 5% VAT is simpler than Saudi Phase 2 and easier to get quietly wrong. The errors that cost money are not exotic: a tax invoice missing a required field, an import that should have been reverse-charged, a designated-zone supply treated as standard-rated.

What the app does

  • Tax invoices in the FTA’s required form — TRN, sequential number, date of supply, the tax amount stated in AED even when the invoice is in another currency.
  • Reverse charge on imports, set on the party so it applies without anyone remembering to tick it.
  • Designated zone handling per item and per party.
  • A VAT return summary laid out box by box against the FTA form, so preparing the return is reading a screen rather than rebuilding it in Excel.
  • Multi-currency with the rate stored on the voucher, which is what an auditor asks for.

Free for the first year with no invoice cap. Paid plans cover support and migration.

If you only need the arithmetic today, the VAT calculator is free and needs no account.

Frequently asked questions

Does the UAE require e-invoicing like Saudi Arabia?

The UAE has been phasing in an e-invoicing mandate on its own timetable, which is not the same as ZATCA's. What is required today of most businesses is a compliant tax invoice and an accurate VAT return; the app produces both and the e-invoicing work tracks the FTA's published schedule.

Does it handle designated zones and reverse charge?

Yes. Reverse charge on imports and designated-zone treatment are set per party and per item, so the return summary segregates them instead of you doing it in a spreadsheet at the deadline.
