A pharmacy is two businesses sharing a counter: the dispensing one, which is regulated, and the retail one, which is a shop. Setup covers both at once.
Batch and expiry, not just quantity
Medicine stock is not a number. It is a batch with a date on it, bought at a price, and the two matter separately. Stock is held that way throughout — purchase, transfer, dispense — so what is on the shelf and what is in the ledger describe the same boxes.
Prescriptions and counter sales
A dispensed line and an over-the-counter line are both sales, and both end up on one bill and in one set of books. The Pharmacy app adds the dispensing screens on top, and enables itself the moment the business is set up as a pharmacy.
Patients are people, once
Demographics live on the person rather than inside whichever app happened to create them. A patient recorded at the pharmacy is the same record a clinic or a lab in the same business would see.
Compliance is included
ZATCA Phase 2 in Saudi Arabia, GST in India, VAT across the GCC. Simplified invoices at the counter, standard invoices for the accounts that need them, and a return built from the invoices rather than typed over them.

Frequently asked questions
Does it warn on expiry?
Stock is held per batch with its expiry date, so near-expiry stock is a report you can act on rather than a discovery at the counter. Dispensing draws from the batch you choose.
Is the Pharmacy app an extra?
No. It enables itself when the business is set up as a pharmacy — the app and the industry pack agree on the same id, so there is nothing to install and nothing to buy separately.
Can one person run the counter and the books?
That is the normal case and the app is built for it. The till, the purchase bills and the VAT return are the same records seen three ways, not three systems to reconcile.
